The idea of ​​the establishment of Nursing Science Program Faculty of Medicine and Health , University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta guided by the ideals of the creation of professional nursing services and Islamic , for in 1999 it began to be formed Nursing Working Group ( Working Group ) which bertempak in AKPER RSIJ . For the Working Group did bberapa study and held a working meeting at Consortium Health Science ( CHS ) , AKPER RSIJ , ISTA and the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta . Hard Work Working Group produced a book entitled " Nursing Book of Islam " .
On the way then the licensing team dibenuk between AKPER RSIJ and FIKES ISTA on February 8, managed to get a decree number 41/DIKTI/Kep/2001 . About clearing permission Nursing Science Program . Similarly with the 2001-2002 academic year under the Nursing Science Program Faculty of Health Sciences , University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta opens first freshman enrollment of Program A ( high school equivalent ) and Program B ( Of Nursing DIII ) .
Nursing Science Program is organized as a form of participation of the University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta in nation building through health education especially health care . Beside that also in order to meet the challenges of public need for professional nursing services , with integrity of faith and piety , bookish knowledge and akhlakul karimah are able to provide quality services . The stages include stage of academic education and professional stage . Learners who have completed the academic stage will earn a Bachelor of Nursing ( S.Kep ) . And after finishing the professional stage will get a degree nurses ( Ns ) .
At first the Nursing Science Program under the auspices of the Faculty of Medicine and Health . But in an effort to strengthen the University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta institutions of higher education in the competition so that all components of the nursing courses agreed to open a School of Nursing was inaugurated on April 4, 2013. It is based on the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakata No. 194 of 2013 on the opening of the Faculty of Nursing, University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta . Where the Nursing Science Program has decided to be one of the courses of the Faculty of Nursing, University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta . Studies program under the auspices of the Faculty of Nursing is Nursing Science Program Tier One ( S1 ) , Diploma Course Three ( D3 ) Nursing , and Graduate Program ( S2 ) Nursing .
